We are the non profit arm of the SFIAC focused on community events, revitalization and engagement that enhances the Italian culture and history of North Beach.
Our Mission
To strengthen the North Beach community and its businesses by sponsoring events that bring together family and friends through the Italian culture, language and history in which it was rooted, and by investing in issues and endeavors that elevate local commerce and create opportunities for North Beach to thrive.

Celebrate your community
Festa Italiana is a celebration of North Beach and our Italian community. The event is fully funded and run by the SFIAC Foundation. We would love your help! Seeking volunteers for set-up, breakdown and day of activities. There is something for everyone. Does your teen need volunteer credits? If you have any “special skills” (music production, kids’ corner/events, construction, event management, etc.) that could lend to the event planning or you would just like to assist with the planning process please contact us. If you have an interest in the planning process please contact Gina Travaglio at gina@sfiacfoundation.org.

Community Events & Classes
We proudly sponsor multiple events and Italian language courses at San Francisco Italian Athletic Club in North Beach, which serve to bring our community together and enrich our understanding and experience of the Italian language, culture and history. Inaugural events in 2023 included the San Francisco Pizza, Bagel and Beer Festival, Cornhole Tournament in partnership with the Olympic Club, Tenors and Tannins and Concerto di Natale.

San Francisco’s only authentic Italian street festival featuring live music, delicious food and more. The festival is now two days and will be held on June 1-2, 2024

Festa Italiana
Save the date for our Festa Italiana 2024! We will be closing off Stockton St. between Union St.and Filbert St. on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. We welcome everyone to join us for a two day festival featuring Italian music, food, culture and dance. The only Italian street festival in San Francisco. It is an event for the whole family with local Italian vendors, a children’s corner and more.

Learn Italian for the first time or brush up on what you already know. We teach all levels — from beginners to travelers to advanced speakers.
